The coldest days of the winter are still before us, but already folks are busy preparing for the 2012 Seacoast Home & Garden Show, to be held on March 24th and 25th at the Whittemore Center Arena on the campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

“We’re very excited about this year’s show,” co-producer Karla Ficker of Dickson & McGonigle says.” The Seacoast Home & Garden Show produced by Dickson & McGonigle is in its’ 17th year of bringing design and building trends to the New Hampshire Seacoast.

This show is an excellent opportunity for people to see many new products on the market. It’s the ideal time to talk with industry experts to get their advice on the latest innovative products and services for both home and garden. Ultimately this will help the homeowners make thoughtful decisions on what product and vendor will best suit their needs.

“We find that people are better informed about what will work for them personally. With the growing trend of home and garden related television programming, design/home related blogs and websites, homeowners are aware of the trends yet need to meet the local professionals to make them a reality.”

They’ve researched their options on the Internet, whether they’re looking for a more energy efficient hot water heater, a total kitchen renovation, or exploring green energy options. The Internet is great for gathering information and generating ideas, but nothing beats meeting face-to-face the contractors that you could end up inviting into your home.

“This makes our Seacoast show a great opportunity for both our 200 exhibitors and the thousands who attend the show.  When I walk the aisles at the show and see the vendors in deep conversation with show-goers, I feel confident that the quality of exhibitors we attract will lead to a lot of satisfied customers.”

Visitors are encouraged to bring their cloth shopping bags too as a wonderful element to our show is the talented artisans who will be selling their handmade crafts. Everything from sweet-scented candles and exquisite jewelry to garden-related products and delicious New England cheeses and baked goods will be available for purchase.

Our Meet the Chefs series will turn our kitchen into the ultimate in cooking demonstrations. We are bringing together many of our local talented Seacoast chefs. A schedule of guest chefs and the dishes they will be creating will be available on the event’s website, along with the schedule of home and garden seminars.

Media sponsors of the 2012 Seacoast Home & Garden Show include WMUR-9, Foster’s Daily Democrat and NH Home, NH Magazine, and Northeast FLAVOR.
